【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtoprovidetheuserwithaproceduretodetermineslumpofplastichydraulic-cementconcretes.Note18212;Thistestmethodwasoriginallydevelopedtoprovideatechniquetomonitortheconsistencyofunhardenedconcrete.Underlaboratoryconditions,withstrictcontrolofallconcretematerials,theslumpisgenerallyfoundtoincreaseproportionallywiththewatercontentofagivenconcretemixture,andthustobeinverselyrelatedtoconcretestrength.Underfieldconditions,however,suchastrengthrelationshipisnotclearlyandconsistentlyshown.Careshouldthereforebetakeninrelatingslumpresultsobtainedunderfieldconditionstostrength.Thistestmethodisconsideredapplicabletoplasticconcretehavingcoarseaggregateupto11/2in.[37.5mm]insize.Ifthecoarseaggregateislargerthan1x00BD;in.[37.5mm]insize,thetestmethodisapplicablewhenitisperformedonthefractionofconcretepassinga1x00BD;-in.[37.5-mm]sieve,withthelargeraggregatebeingremovedinaccordancewiththesectiontitledx201C;AdditionalProcedureforLargeMaximumSizeAggregateConcretex201D;inPracticeC172.Thistestmethodisnotconsideredapplicabletonon-plasticandnon-cohesiveconcrete.Note28212;Concreteshavingslumpslessthanx00BD;in.[15mm]maynotbeadequatelyplasticandconcreteshavingslumpsgreaterthanabout9in.[230mm]maynotbeadequatelycohesiveforthistesttohavesignificance.Cautionshouldbeexercisedininterpretingsuchresults.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofslumpofhydraulic-cementconcrete,bothinthelaboratoryandinthefield.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(WarningFreshhydrauliccementitiousmixturesarecausticandmaycausechemicalburnstoskinandtissueuponprolongedexposure.)
